● Pregnancy is a period of joy that coincides with sorrow. Pregnant women experience different feelings and emotions.
● The stresses experienced by pregnant mothers can lead to psychological distress and physical problems.
● Art, music, leisure, and peace of mind can help reduce stress in pregnant women. It also provides an opportunity for the mother to further reflect on her relationship with the fetus.
● The present research results suggested that soothing non-vocal music can help reduce distress in pregnant women and increase their attachment to their fetus.
Plain Language Summary 
Music therapy is an art and psychological intervention, i.e. used to treat many physical and mental illnesses. Music can help reduce anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, and heartbeat, as well as better sleep in pregnant women. Also, music can create moments of joy and positive emotions in these women. The results of this study indicated that after 12 sessions of music therapy, the life distress of pregnant women declined, while their maternal-fetal attachment increased.

● There are specific challenges regarding the perceptions of families of patients affected with coma in intensive care units. 
● Identifying these perceptions may attract the cooperation of families with nurses and providing better care for patients.
● The present study findings led to the formation of 4 categories; shock and disbelief, the effort for adaptation, exhaustion, and burnout and hope and support. 
● According to the study findings, patients’ families should be supported by the intensive care team.
Plain Language Summary 
Many people annually go into a coma all over the world and most of them are admitted to intensive care units. The hospitalization of a family member in a critical care unit is a very bitter and special experience. This study explored the perceptions of the families of comatose patients in intensive care units. The related findings suggested that the families are in shock and disbelief, and try to adapt to the situation, feel exhausted and burnt-out, and need hope and support. The findings reflected the need for nurses to pay attention to the feelings and emotions of the families of these patients.

● Emotional divorce in couples presents detrimental effects on their relationship and the whole family, including children.
● Several psychological and personality factors are involved in couples’ communication problems. This research has paid special attention to attachment styles and spiritual intelligence.
● The present study results indicated that anxious and avoidant insecure attachment styles predict emotional divorce in women. Furthermore, women with less spiritual intelligence achieved higher scores in the emotional divorce questionnaire and vice versa.
Plain Language Summary 
Emotional divorce means emotional, romantic, communicative, and sometimes even sexual separation between the couples. They live under one roof but are not together. Research suggested that emotional divorce in couples has irreversible effects on the psychological adjustment of their children in the future. This study was conducted to investigate the role of attachment styles and spiritual intelligence in predicting emotional divorce in women. The study results revealed that insecure attachment and low spiritual intelligence can predict emotional divorce in women.

Cosmetic surgery is among the most popular surgeries worldwide, especially in Iran. This study investigated the association between perfectionism, early maladaptive schemas, attachment styles, and body image concerns through the mediation of self-esteem in cosmetic surgery applicants. The relevant results suggested that the modified model had a good fit and the indirect paths of perfectionism, early maladaptive schema, and attachment styles through self-esteem were also significant. The evaluated model had a good fit and can play an important role in recognizing the factors affecting the body image concerns of female cosmetic surgery applicants.

Infertility is a stressful and unexpected shock for most couples. The stressful experience of infertility is associated with various psychological issues, including increased stress levels, depression, feelings of inefficiency, and marital problems. Infertile couples need to eliminate mental weaknesses and psychological traumas; therefore, strengthening positive psychological characteristics may prove effective in this regard. Integrative behavioral couple therapy is among the most important intervention programs. In general, this study suggested that integrative behavioral couple therapy is effective in improving infertility self-efficacy, dyadic adjustment, and sexual satisfaction in infertile couples.

● In this study, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotional Regulation Training (ERT) were used to increase diabetes empowerment in patients with type 2 diabetes.
● The study findings indicated that ACT and ERT enhanced diabetes empowerment in the explored patients with type 2 diabetes.
● The effectiveness of ACT on diabetes empowerment of patients was significantly higher than that of ERT.
Plain Language Summary 
Diabetic patients are daily involved with complex conditions. They need to manage their disease through medication and nutrition regimes. The stress associated with the disease and its complication diminishes their quality of life. In this regard, diabetes empowerment helps them to improve management ability. Acceptance and commitment therapy and emotion regulation training are therapeutic interventions applicable to increasing healthy emotions and improve the patient’s ability to manage the disease. The study results indicated that acceptance and commitment therapy was more effective than emotion regulation training in diabetes empowerment.

Plain Language Summary 
In an emotional divorce, the couples act against each other to harass, defeat, and degrade each other’s self-esteem and to find a reason to prove each other’s faults and shortcomings. Accordingly, effective and timely treatment of emotional divorce is critical. Emotional schema therapy and differentiation training are among the major cognitive behavior therapy approaches. The present study data suggested the following conclusions: women undergoing emotional schema therapy and differentiation intervention program could control their emotions and improve their marital relations; in turn, it reduced the probability of emotional divorce in them.

● Organizational characteristics are central to nursing practice in acute care settings.
● Most nurses in this study presented a high-level knowledge regarding failure to rescue in acute care settings.
● There was a significant association between organizational characteristics and nurses’ level of competence in averting failure to rescue in the acute care setting.
Plain Language Summary 
Failure to rescue entails the idea that not all complications developed by patients are preventable, but nurses by the virtue of their close proximity to patients should be able to promptly identify and institute appropriate measures immediately after they occur. The present study assessed the organizational factors affecting nurses’ competence in averting failure to rescue in acute care settings. The study results suggested an association between organizational characteristics and nurses’ level of competence in averting failure to rescue in acute care settings. Therefore, organizational characteristics must be adjusted or modified in the bid to increase nurses’ competence averting failure to rescue in acute care settings.
