● The mean age of patients with COVID-19 who expired and survived was 72.21 and 56.61 years, respectively. 
● The prevalence of chronic diseases was higher in patients who died, compared to those who survived. 
● Chronic diseases, such as hypertension, heart disease, lung disease, and various cancers were more prevalent in patients who died than the survivors.
● No significant relationship was found between gender and COVD-19-related mortality.
● The most common signs and symptoms of COVID-19 were shortness of breath, fever, body aches, headache, cough, decreased sense of smell and taste, vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of consciousness, in sequence.
● The survival of patients aged over 75 years decreased by 40%, compared to patients under 49 years of age in 10 days.

The morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 are related to many factors. This study assessed the relationship between COVID-19- mortality and various chronic diseases, such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes in patients admitted to Ali Ibn Abitaleb Hospital in Rafsanjan City, Iran, in 2020. The study findings suggested that the elderly and those with chronic conditions were more frequently hospitalized, admitted to the ICU, and were expired due to COVID-19. Furthermore, longer hospital stays were associated with higher mortality.

● Post-Traumatic growth is a positive change that a subject experiences as a result of the struggle with a traumatic event.
● No scale is available to measure these aspects in patients with cancer.
● This study aimed at designing and evaluating the psychometric properties of the Persian version of post-traumatic growth inventory in patients with cancer. 
● This study revealed that the Persian version of post-traumatic growth inventory with 24 items and 5 dimensions is a valid and reliable tool for assessing PTG in Iranian patients with cancer.

Although the experience of every traumatic event is associated with negative psychological consequences, positive personal and psychological changes, called Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) may also be experienced. Recognizing the different dimensions of positive psychological changes after a traumatic event can help nurses to use these dimensions in adjusting care planning to adapt patients to stressful situations. This study revealed that the Persian version of PTG inventory with 24 items and 5 dimensions is a valid and reliable tool for assessing PTG in Iranian patients with cancer.

● The average social capital of the elderly living in the west of Tehran was pretty low.
● Social capital was associated with the motivation to participate in physical activity in the elderly living in the west of Tehran. 
● Social capital was also associated with occupational status, the number of children, house size, and the economic status of the study subjects. 
Plain Language Summary 
Social capital and especially its importance among the elderly has attracted the attention of researchers. Moreover, it has been suggested that older adults have an insufficient physical activity which seems to be due to the lack of motivation. According to the obtained results, the social capital of the elderly participating in this study was pretty low. Also, there were substantial relationships between social capital and the motivators of physical activity participation (apart from fitness & medical) which signifies the necessity of attention to the social capital of the elderly.

● Early maladaptive schemas presented a negative effect on psychological wellbeing in the examined women with multiple sclerosis.
● There was a positive and significant relationship between resilience, perceived social support, hope, self-compassion, and psychological wellbeing in the study subjects.
● Self-Compassion and hope played a mediating role in the relationship between resilience, early maladaptive schemas, and psychological wellbeing in the studied women with multiple sclerosis.
Plain Language Summary 
Chronic diseases can cause extreme psychological stress, which can, in turn, lead to serious psychosocial disorders. Patients with such diseases are prone to family disruption. The chronic pain of the disease, concerns about the future of family members, fear of death, treatment complications, decreased performance, impaired mental image, and sexual problems can impair the mental health of these patients. This study has suggested the following conclusions: early maladaptive schemas, resilience, perceived social support, self-compassion, and hope directly affected psychological wellbeing in patients with MS. Self-Compassion and hope played a mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support, resilience, early maladaptive schemas, and psychological wellbeing.

● The mean score of motherhood abilities in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. 
● Health Belief Model-Based education improved the explored mothers’ abilities to manage the eating disorders of their children.
● Health Belief Model-Based education improved the promoting behaviors of the mothers of children with ARFID. 
● Health Belief Model-Based education improved the examined mothers’ abilities in the involvement of fathers in caring for their children with ARFID.
Plain Language Summary 
Health promotion and preventive behaviors are the most basic strategies in improving maternal abilities to manage eating disorders, promoting behavior, and paternal involvement. The present study results indicated that health belief model-based education improves maternal abilities to take care of their children with ARFID according to the criteria of managing eating disorders, promoting behaviors, and paternal involvement.

● E-Learning significantly improved patient safety culture and all its components, except for the frequency of events reporting dimension.
● The e-learning program provided the examined nurses with the opportunity to frequently review educational materials, answer evaluation questions, and receive relevant feedback.
● A part of the positive effects of e-learning on patient safety culture among emergency nurses can be attributed to the inclusion of nursing managers in this study. 
Plain Language Summary 
E-Learning enables learners to access educational materials at any time and place. It can be used as an effective method for providing in-service training to nurses. It does not necessitate the physical presence of learners in a certain place at a specific time. E-Learning can thus be used to provide in-service training during epidemics and pandemics, like the current coronavirus pandemic without exposing learners to the risk of infection. According to the present study results, e-learning improved patient safety culture among emergency nurses and nursing managers. Nursing managers and hospital supervisors should improve nurses’ understanding of the importance of error reporting, and create a supportive environment to encourage them to report their errors without the fear of negative consequences.

● Existential group therapy reduced depression symptoms in the victims of child sexual harassment. 
● Existential group therapy and emotion-focused group therapy effectively reduced anxiety symptoms in the study participants. 
● Emotion-focused group therapy was significantly more effective than existential group therapy in reducing stress symptoms.
Plain Language Summary 
Traumatic childhood experiences, especially sexual harassment, are among the most important factors causing anxiety disorders. They can negatively affect the mental health of victims and lead to the occurrence of depression, anxiety, and aggression. According to the results of this study, existential group therapy reduced depression symptoms. Besides, existential group therapy and emotion-focused group therapy reduced anxiety symptoms in the victims of child sexual harassment. Emotion-focused group therapy was more effective than existential group therapy in reducing stress symptoms.

● Failure to take iron supplements during pregnancy increases the incidence of pregnancy anemia. 
● Anemia in pregnant women brings consequences and complications, such as the high risk for miscarriage, bleeding, low birth weight, uterine atony, uterine inertia, and retained placenta.
● The purpose of the smartphone application is to monitor pregnant women’s compliance with taking iron supplements to prevent anemia. 
● The study findings indicated that using a smartphone application increases hemoglobin levels by increasing the adherence of pregnant women to taking iron supplements.
Plain Language Summary 
Monitoring hemoglobin levels is essential in pregnant women. This is because the lack of hemoglobin can negatively impact the health of the mother and fetus in the womb. Having a smartphone application to monitor the compliance of pregnant women with taking iron supplements is effective. It can be used as a reminder for the regular use of iron supplements; thus, reducing the incidence of anemia in pregnancy. According to the present study findings, using a smartphone application increases hemoglobin levels by improving the adherence of pregnant women to taking iron supplements.
